  • How do I create an event?
    • To create an event click here.

      Step 1 - Give your event a name e.g. Nobby's Tour of Dublin
      Step 2 - Enter a tagline e.g. It's his last weekend of freedom and we want to do it in style!
      Step 3 - Enter proposed dates (this is flexible - things change!)
      Step 4 - Import a photo (optional)
      Step 5 - Invite your friends

  • Why do I need to pay a deposit?
    • The only cost to MatePay is the deposit and this is kept to a minimal amount to cover the administration costs. MatePay is a service and therefore a charge must be made.
  • Calculating who owes what
  • How do I set up a Paypal account?
    • Not a Paypal user? Click here to set up an account (www.paypal.co.uk) and then follow the steps.
  • Viewing payment statuses
    • As event organiser, you will have full access to all guest's payment progress and, if you wish, you can make this information available to everyone else! Should you require a certain sum from everyone by a certain date e.g. to secure flights, then you simply send a group email out asking them to do so.
  • What happens when all the guests pay the full amount needed for the event?
    • Once all money has been transferred to your personal Paypal Account; it is your responsibility to transfer the money to pay your tour operator, flights etc.
